Adam R. Newton Scholarship

Adam Newton was an only child with many “sisters” and “brothers”. During his short, thirty-five year life, he offered help and kindness to his friends, acquaintances, and – on occasion – even to total strangers. As a chef, he understood not only the practical but also the spiritual significance of food in connecting human beings with each other. Personally, he loved the outdoors, animals, and internal-combustion engines; he hated pomposity, cruelty, and fast-food. Philosophically, he truly believed in the power of a generous spirit. A senior at a Stateline Area high school or a Continuing/Adult student. Attending an accredited degree granting post-secondary institution and majoring in culinary arts and/or hotel restaurant management
